theBalm... theBalm.. theBalm... theBalm... The brand's name doesn't sound too familiar, eh? As far as I know, there are only TWO malls here in Jakarta which actually have their counters. One of them is Plaza Indonesia, and the other one is Grand Indonesia. Err..The malls are actually at each other's opposite. Really close, eh?
Okay, now into the brand. Mary Lou is one of theBalm's best selling highlighter, along with her companion bronzer, Betty Lou-Manizer. I'm not too fond of bronzer as it kinda makes my face look dirty.
The packaging's cool! As it is named after a girl's name, there's a picture of blond girl on the lid, stylized as if the girl's being held captive for being too attractive. The overall pact is from sturdy plastic, silverish grey in color. It contains really lot of products; 8.5 gr. Almost equals a face powder! There's a mirror inside, perfect for touching up, but yes, no applicator nor brush. You have to use your own.
My cam's being caught in the mirror xD
Mary-lou is champagne in color, with a hint of gold tone in it and tiny shimmers. The color suits my skin tone very well and creates a natural glowing look without being too white or too much as if I have oily face (Too much highlighters will make you end up looking oily, you know). It's also good to be used as highlighter for brow bone, and as an eyeshadow base color.

APPLICATION AND TEXTURE (4/5)
The powder's texture is pretty good, not powdery nor chalky, but it does have to be carefully applied, as it's really pigmented and quite shimmery. Don't apply too much! Or it will ended up looking blotchy.
This is a great highlighter that can compliments both fairer and darker skin, as with warmer and cooler skin tone. I really recommend this for you, especially if you are looking for multitasking highlighter for both your cheeks and eyes.
